How Do I Induce Hiccups? (I Want to Practice Stopping Them)

One of the frustratingly difficult aspects of training someone to stop hiccuping is that they first need to be hiccuping!  So, is there a way to induce hiccups?

Aye, there’s the rub!

I can speak only for myself, but I’ve noticed that after my first sip of a carbonated beverage I often hiccup (but only once, because I realize and stop). It seems more likely with Sprite or 7-Up, but I could be mistaken about that. Have you noticed your own hiccup trigger?  If so, please share!
